Akt Enterprises

Akt Enterprises is based out of No. 701 in Ardersh Mohalla, which is a part of the Maujpur area. If you know Maujpur, you know how narrow the lanes can get and how crowded it feels on market days. Our office is up a flight of stairs that are a bit steep and narrow. It’s a tight space, but we’ve managed to fit everything we need into it. We have a few desks and a lot of shelving for the files and samples. It gets pretty loud outside with the rickshaws and the street vendors calling out their prices, but we’ve learned to tune it out over the years. We started this small venture because we wanted to do something for ourselves in our own neighborhood. There isn't any corporate hierarchy here. We all just pitch in and do whatever task is at the top of the pile. Sometimes that means going out to meet someone across town, and other times it means sitting and sorting through receipts for five hours straight. The electricity can be a bit unreliable in this part of Maujpur, so we keep a few torches handy for when the lights go out. We don’t have a mission statement or any of that talk. We just want to keep the business running and make sure the bills are paid at the end of every month. It’s a simple life and a simple way of working.
