Our unit is located at Plot No. Ssi-30 in the Small Scale Co-Op Industrial Estate. It’s right off the G.T. Karnal Road, which is convenient if you are coming from the bus depot. The traffic around the depot is always a mess, so we tell everyone to give themselves extra time. Welcome Spices has been in this industrial pocket for quite some time. The building is just a standard concrete structure, nothing special to look at from the outside. Inside, it's mostly equipment and storage racks. We have a small crew that has been with us for years. They know the machines better than anyone. We aren't a huge corporation with layers of management. If there's a problem, we just talk to each other and fix it. The air in here is always thick with the scent of different blends we are making that day. Some days it’s cumin, other days it’s more pungent. We wear masks mostly so we don't sneeze all day. It’s hard work, and the floors get dusty no matter how much we sweep. We just focus on getting the bags filled and onto the trucks. We don't do much in the way of fancy packaging or big ads. People know where we are if they need something. That’s how we like to keep things. We just show up, do the work, and head home after the shift ends.
