Our shop is at 101, Gadodia Market in Khari Baoli. If you know this area, you know how crowded it gets with the carts and the people moving everywhere. Vishnu Agarwal Devralia Trading Company has been part of this market for years. We are traders, mostly. It’s a small space, filled with samples and ledgers. The air always smells like the goods we trade. It can be quite loud outside with the shouting and the horns, but that’s just how life is in Khari Baoli. We open early and stay until the work is finished. There is always someone coming in to ask about prices or to check on a delivery. We don't have a website or anything like that. We prefer talking face to face or over the phone. My desk is a bit of a mess with papers, but I know where everything is. We have a few helpers who move the heavy bags around. It’s a family-style business, even if we aren't all related. We’ve seen the market change over the years, but our little corner stays pretty much the same. We deal with the local buyers and some from further away too. It’s just regular trading. No big secrets or fancy talk here. We just buy and sell and try to keep everyone happy with the deals they get. It is a long day every day, but we are used to the rhythm of the market.
