Vinod Industries

Finding 1979 in Lal Kuan can be a bit of a challenge if you aren't used to these narrow streets. Vinod Industries has been operating out of this spot for years and the building has definitely seen a lot of history. It’s crowded and loud outside most of the time with all the rickshaws and people moving goods back and forth. Inside, it’s a bit quieter but you can still hear the hum of the street. We don't have much in the way of decoration here. The walls are mostly covered with old calendars or lists we’ve taped up over the years. We keep the tools and the materials where they need to be, even if it looks a bit messy to an outsider. Sometimes the electricity acts up or the water pressure is low, but that’s just life in Lal Kuan. We know everyone on the block and usually share a cup of tea with the shopkeepers nearby. It’s a tight space and we have to be careful how we stack things so we don’t run out of room to move. Most of the staff has been here forever so they know exactly where everything is without even looking. We don’t bother with fancy brochures or big ads. People who need us usually know where to find us. It's just a regular old-fashioned workshop where we put in our hours and go home.
