If you’ve ever been to Khari Baoli, you know how crowded and intense it can get. We are right in the middle of it at 110, Tilak Bazar Chowk. Vedika Overseas Trade Pvt. Ltd. operates from this busy corner. It’s loud, it’s smelly—mostly from all the spices in the air—and it’s always moving. We do trade that goes beyond just our local borders, but our roots are definitely here in the dust of the bazaar. The building is old, with steep stairs that make your legs ache by the end of the day. Our office is small and usually filled with the sound of several people talking at once. We deal with a lot of paperwork because shipping things overseas involves a lot of rules. It can be frustrating when things get delayed at the port or when a container doesn't show up on time. But that’s just the nature of the business we chose. We don't have a receptionist or a waiting room with magazines. If you come to see us, you’ll probably just sit on a spare stool near someone’s desk. We drink a lot of tea to keep ourselves going. The market outside starts early and stays busy until late at night. We have been here a while now and know most of the other traders around the Chowk. It is a community of people who just want to get their work done. We don't use big words or fancy titles. We just trade.
