The JMD Enterprises

The JMD Enterprises is on the first floor of Shankar Market, specifically at 110, 1309-1310. Being on the first floor means people have to walk up the stairs to see us. The staircase is a bit narrow and old, and Fasil Rd outside is always full of energy. Up here, it is a little bit removed from the direct chaos of the street, but you can still hear the horns honking all day long. The market has been around for ages, and our shop feels like a part of that history. We have several rooms connected together where we store the welding machines and other industrial supplies. It is a bit of a maze inside with all the boxes. We don't bother much with decorations. The walls are just plain, and we have calendars from three years ago still hanging up. We deal with all kinds of people, from big contractors to small-time hobbyists. Most of the day is spent checking the stock and talking to the other shop owners in the building. We usually have lunch together in the hallway or on the stairs if the weather is nice. It is a simple way of doing business, based on knowing people and being there every day. We don't plan on changing much about how the shop looks or runs. We just keep the door open and wait for the next person to climb the stairs.
