Star Masale

Star Masale is tucked away at C-59 in the Atta area. If you are nearby, you can usually smell the spices before you even see the sign. We spend our days grinding and mixing different blends. It is a dusty job, and the air is always thick with the scent of chili and turmeric. We have been in this spot for several years now. Atta is a busy market place, and there is always something going on outside our door. Our shop is small and practical, filled with bags of raw ingredients and finished packets. We don't have a big factory or automated machines for everything. A lot of it is still done by hand or with simple equipment. We aren't interested in being a national brand. We just want to provide good spices for the kitchens in our neighborhood. The people who live around here know us well and often stop by just to chat while they buy their monthly supplies. Sometimes the machines break down and we have to fix them ourselves, which can be frustrating. But that is just part of running a small business. We keep things simple and honest. We're usually there from morning till late. The neighbor's cat often hangs around the door too. We are just a local family business doing what we have always done at C-59.
