If you come down to Sanjay Gandhi Transport Nagar, you’ll find us at Plot No Cw-249. This whole area is basically just trucks, grease, and the constant sound of engines being worked on. S.S Diesel Engineering Co. fits right in with the rest of the shops here. We spend most of our time with our hands covered in oil, trying to get things running again. The dust in the yard is something you just learn to live with. It gets into everything, no matter how much you sweep. Our plot isn't huge, but we manage to fit what we need inside. There’s always some piece of machinery taken apart on the floor and tools scattered around where someone was just working. It’s not the kind of place you come to if you’re looking for a clean floor or a quiet chat. We’re usually too busy for that anyway. Most days are spent dealing with the heat and the noise of the transport hub. We don't have a fancy lobby or any marketing stuff on the walls, just some old calendars and a few scribbled notes about what parts we need to order. People know us because we’ve been at Cw-249 for years. It’s honest work, even if it’s loud and messy. When the sun goes down, we just wipe off the grease, lock the gate, and head out, ready to do the same thing tomorrow.
