Sri Tirupati Balaji Oil Mills

Our oil mill is located at Khasra No. 371 on the ground floor in Alipur Village. We are right near the big Hindustan Unilever plant, which is the main thing people look for when they are trying to find our gate. Alipur still has that village feel even though there are some big factories around. At Sri Tirupati Balaji Oil Mills, the air always smells like pressed seeds and oil. It’s a thick, heavy scent that you get used to after a while. We work on the ground floor, which makes it easier for the tractors and carts to bring in the raw materials. It’s a lot of physical labor, moving heavy containers and keeping the machines clean. We don't have a polished showroom. It’s a working mill, so there is always a bit of oil on the floor and a lot of noise from the presses. We are just a local operation, mostly staffed by people who live nearby. We don't spend money on fancy signs or advertisements. People know where we are and what we do. We open up early and close once the work is done for the day. It’s a simple, repetitive process, but it’s what we know. We just focus on the machines and the oil, making sure everything runs like it should in our little corner of the village.
