Out here in the Narela industrial area, at F-1734-1735, things stay pretty constant for us. It’s a big space in the DSIDC block, and it gets quite warm during the summer months when the machinery is all humming at once. We spend our days dealing with the food production side of things, watching the bags get filled and the labels get put on. There is usually a lot of noise from the conveyor belts, so you have to talk a bit louder to be heard. The floor is always getting swept because something is always spilling or there is dust from the packaging. We have a small office tucked in the corner where the paperwork piles up, mostly just orders and delivery notes. The trucks come in through the main gate early in the morning, and that is usually when the rush starts. Sometimes the traffic in Narela is a real headache, especially when the big lorries are all trying to move at once. We just focus on getting the work done and making sure the crates are stacked properly before they go out. It isn’t the quietest job, but it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. Most of the guys have been working here for years, so we have a rhythm down. We don’t have much time for sitting around, except for the lunch break when we sit by the side door for some air. It is just regular work for us.
