Spice

Our shop, Spice, is located in the middle of Ashok Vihar JJ Colony, right at J-1/134 in Wazirpur. It’s a busy little area and we are very much a part of the daily life here. We don't have any fancy displays or bright lights. It's mostly just us keeping things running and making sure the shelves aren't empty for the people who live nearby. The mornings are usually the hardest because we have to unload everything while the narrow streets are already filling up with people and carts. It can get quite cramped in here when three or four customers come at once. We’ve known some of the neighbors for years now. They stop by just to say hello even if they don’t actually need to buy anything that day. The fan in the corner makes a bit of a clicking sound but it keeps us cool enough during the summer. Sometimes we run out of small change and have to run to the next shop to swap some notes. It's a simple way of living and working. We don't spend any money on advertising because everyone around here already knows who we are and where to find us. We just open up, do the work, and close when the sun goes down. There’s always a bit of chatter near the door. It’s noisy but it feels like home to us.
