If you’re looking for us, we are up on the second floor of A-53 in Pushpanjali Enclave. It’s a residential area in Pitampura, so it feels more like a home than a corporate office. You have to walk up the stairs since there isn't a big elevator or anything. The office has two main rooms where we keep all the drawings and the computers. It’s usually quite messy with coffee cups and pens scattered around. We spend our time looking at site maps or talking to the crew on the phone. We’ve been in this part of Delhi for a while, so we know the local roads and how things move around here. The atmosphere is pretty relaxed; we don't have a dress code and half the time we’re covered in a bit of site dust anyway. We don't try to impress anyone with big talk or fancy words about the future of building. We just look at what needs to be built, buy the materials, and get the laborers started. It can be stressful when the rain hits or when a truck gets stuck, but that’s just part of the daily routine. Most of our day is spent making sure the levels are right and the materials are what they should be. It’s just a small group of us trying to make a living by building stuff that stays up. There is no magic to it, just keeping an eye on the details and working hard.
