Shakti Trading Company

Shakti Trading Company is located at 735, Church Mission Road in Fatehpuri. This part of town is always buzzing with activity, especially with all the spice and grain traders working nearby. Our building is an old one, which is typical for this historic area. We handle a lot of different goods and our daily routine involves a lot of weighing and bagging of items. The street outside is very narrow, so getting the carts through can be a bit of a struggle during the peak business hours. Inside, the space is packed with bags and cardboard boxes. We have a small wooden desk near the entrance where we take down the orders. It’s a very hands-on job for all of us. We spend most of our time on our feet, moving stock around or talking to the laborers about the shipments. There’s no air conditioning here, just a few old ceiling fans that have been spinning there forever. We like the history of Church Mission Road. You see the same faces every single day and everyone knows everyone else’s business. We aren't interested in being some big corporation. We just want to make sure the trading goes smoothly and the accounts are settled at the end of the month. Sometimes the dust from the street gets in, but that’s just part of working in Fatehpuri. We keep things simple and honest. We’ve been here for many years and it suits our way of working.
