Rivadi Mistaan Bhandar

Rivadi Mistaan Bhandar is right in the middle of the madness at Chandni Chowk 1218. Being located in this part of the city means there is never a quiet moment. From the second we roll up the heavy iron shutters in the morning, there are rickshaws honking and people walking by our front door. The shop at 1218 is filled with various trays of sweets that we put out every day. We don't spend money on fancy decorations or anything like that. We just have our shelves and the scale we use to weigh everything out. Some days it is so busy that you can hardly see the floor because of all the people crowded inside. We have to work fast to keep everyone happy, but we try to keep things friendly. The staff is mostly made up of people who have lived in this area for a long time, so they know how to handle the chaos of Chandni Chowk. We see all kinds of people, from locals doing their daily shopping to travelers who look a bit lost in the crowd. It is a lot of hard work, especially when the weather is humid and the air is thick, but we have been doing this for long enough that it feels natural. We are just another shop in a very old street, trying to do our job the right way at number 1218.
