Galidos Chocolates

Galidos Chocolates is tucked away at Br-13A in Shalimar Bagh. It’s a residential area mostly, so it’s a bit quieter than the main markets. We started making chocolates here because we had the space and we liked doing it. The smell of melted chocolate usually fills the whole hallway, which I think the neighbors don't mind too much. Our setup is pretty basic. We have a few stainless steel tables and some heavy-duty refrigerators for cooling everything down. It gets pretty cramped when we have a big batch going. Br-13A isn't a big factory or anything, it’s more like a workshop. We do most of the packing by hand at the big table in the middle of the room. I usually have the radio playing in the background while we work. We don't have any fancy marketing people or a big sales team. It's just us making the product and selling it to people who know us. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to scramble to keep the chocolate from melting, which is always a bit of a disaster. But we manage. People in Shalimar Bagh know where to find us if they want something sweet. We don't spend money on big signs. We just keep our heads down and keep the machines running as best as we can every day.
