Rajat Food Industries Private Limited is right in the thick of it in Naya Bazar, Chandni Chowk. Our address is 4094, on the first floor. If you’ve ever been to Naya Bazar, you know it’s a crazy place. It is the heart of the grain and food trade in Delhi. There are carts, trucks, and people everywhere you look. It’s loud and busy from sunrise to sunset. We are up on the first floor, which gives us a little bit of space from the street level, but you can still hear all the noise. The building is quite old, like most things in Chandni Chowk. Inside, it’s all business. We have piles of records and samples of food products spread out. We don't have fancy interiors because we don't really need them. Our work is about the products and the people we sell to. We spend a lot of time on the phone negotiating and arranging deliveries. The heat can be tough in the summer, and the fans never seem to go fast enough. We drink a lot of cold water and just keep at it. It’s a tradition-heavy area and we fit right in. We don't have a mission statement on the wall. We just know what we have to do and we get it done. Dealing with the traffic in Chandni Chowk is just part of the job. It’s how it’s always been for us.
