Pundit Ved Prakash Lemon Wale

Pundit Ved Prakash Lemon Wale has been at 5466 Chandni Chowk for a very long time. We are right by the Ghantaghar, directly opposite the Town Hall. This part of Old Delhi is always crowded and full of energy. Our stall is simple and small. We serve lemon drinks to people who are walking through the market. It gets very hot in Chandni Chowk, so we stay busy throughout the year. We do not have a big menu or a place to sit down. People just stand around, have their cold drink, and then move on with their day. The recipe has been exactly the same for as long as I can remember. We squeeze the lemons and mix everything right there in front of you. The counters are usually wet from the ice and the juice. It is a humble business. We see thousands of different faces every single day. Some are regulars who have been coming to us for decades, and others are tourists who look a bit lost in the crowd. We just keep serving. The bells of the rickshaws and the shouting of the street vendors are the background music to our day. We do not use any fancy marketing.
