Orient Electric House

You can find Orient Electric House right in the middle of the chaos at 1881 Bhagirath Palace in Chandni Chowk. If you’ve ever been to this part of Delhi, you know it’s a maze of wires, lights, and people pushing carts. Our shop is just like many others here—packed from floor to ceiling with electrical goods. There isn't much room to move around once the morning stock arrives. We spend a lot of time searching for specific parts for customers who come in with old samples. It’s loud, it’s crowded, and it’s usually quite hot, but that is just how Chandni Chowk works. We have been here at 1881 for a long time. The walls are a bit scuffed and the shelves are heavy with boxes, but we know where everything is. We don't have a website that works well or any of that modern stuff. We just talk to the people who walk through the door. Usually, we are drinking chai while testing a bulb or checking a circuit breaker. It’s a very hands-on kind of place. Some days the narrow lanes make it hard to get deliveries in, but we manage. It's a traditional way of doing business. We don't use big words or fancy promises. If we have the part, we sell it to you. That is the way Orient Electric House has always run. We just try to keep the lights on and the customers satisfied.
