New Modern Dall Mill

Our place, New Modern Dall Mill, is situated at F-1499 in the Dsidc part of Narela Industrial Area. It’s a pretty standard spot for a mill. We called it "Modern" when we first set it up because we bought some of the newer machines that were available at the time, but honestly, the work is still mostly about sweat and heavy lifting. We spend our days dealing with bags of lentils. We get them in, clean the stones and dirt out, and then run them through the rollers. It’s a lot of noise and the air is always thick with that earthy smell of raw pulses. Narela is a busy area, so there’s always a bit of traffic getting in and out of the gate. We have a small crew of guys who handle the packing. We don’t have a big mission statement or anything like that. We just try to get the bags filled and weighed properly. Sometimes we have a bit of a laugh during our break, sitting on the empty sacks and drinking water. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we never seem to get around to it because there is always another truck arriving. It’s just an ordinary business run by ordinary people. We don’t go for anything flashy. We just stay here and do the work that needs doing every single day. It’s been this way for years and we don't expect it to change much.
