National Herbs Company

My family has been around Khari Baoli for a long time. We're over at National Herbs Company, right in the middle of Ashish Market on Katra Peran. If you know Tilak Bazar, you know how busy it gets here. It’s mostly just us dealing with the herbs and plants that come through the doors every day. There’s always dust on the floor and the smell of dried leaves in the air. We don’t have a fancy office or anything like that. Just a shop filled with sacks and boxes. Most days involve weighing things out and making sure everything is sorted properly. People come by to see what’s arrived, and we just talk shop. It’s a lot of physical work, moving bags around and keeping track of what’s in stock. My cousin helps out when it gets really crowded. We try to keep things organized, but in a place like this, there’s always something happening. It’s not a quiet life. The market wakes up early and so do we. We've seen the area change over the years, but our spot in Ashish Market stays pretty much the same. We don’t do much advertising. People usually find us because they’ve been coming here for years or someone told them where we are. It’s just how things work in this part of town. We just keep our heads down and get the orders ready for whoever needs them. Nothing too complicated about it.
