Microsoft

Our work happens at Ld 166 in Pitam Pura, Delhi. It is a typical Delhi spot, 110088, where the streets are narrow and there is always someone shouting or a bike zooming past. The building we are in is nothing special, just a brick and concrete structure that has been there for years. We set up Microsoft in this unit because it was affordable and close to where most of us live. The rooms inside are a bit dark, so we have bright tubelights everywhere to help us see what we are doing. In the summer, the Delhi heat is brutal, so we have a couple of noisy air conditioners that we keep running all day long. We don't have a fancy lobby or any branding on the walls. It is just desks, chairs, and a lot of power strips. We usually eat lunch together at our desks while watching something on our phones. It is a very basic way of doing things, but we aren't looking for anything more than that. We just want to get the work finished so we can beat the traffic on the way home. There is a lot of paper around and sometimes the printer jams, which is the biggest drama we have most weeks. The local market is just a short walk away, so we often end up there if we need some office supplies or a quick snack. It is a very grounded place to spend your day working in Pitam Pura.
