Mahalakshmi Confectionery

Mahalakshmi Confectionery is tucked away at Sadar Bazar Church Lane 28. If you walk down the lane, you’ll see our jars filled with sweets and snacks. We’ve been sitting in this shop for quite a while now. The space is small, so we have to stack things high. Selling all sorts of things that kids and adults like to munch on is our specialty. Biscuits, candies, and local treats are the main items. The morning starts with us dusting the jars and checking what needs to be restocked. Sadar Bazar is always a bit of a chaotic place, but Church Lane is slightly tucked away from the main madness. A lot of regulars stop by for a quick snack on their way to work. We don't do any big advertising. The shop sign is a bit old, but everyone knows it’s us. Keeping a diary of what we owe suppliers and what people owe us is how we work. It’s the old-fashioned way of doing business. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just sit in the dark for a bit until it comes back. It gives us a chance to talk to the neighbors. We aren't trying to become a giant company. Keeping the shop running and serving the people who walk past our door every day is enough. It’s a simple life but we enjoy the daily routine.
