Kunman Overseas

Working out of 3-A Mill. Apptt. in Section 13, Rohini, feels a bit different than a big glass office building. Kunman Overseas is basically run from here. It’s an apartment complex, so you hear the neighbors' kids playing in the hallway sometimes. We deal with overseas trading, which means a lot of time spent on the phone or staring at a screen. Dealing with different time zones is the hardest part. Sometimes I’m up at odd hours talking to someone halfway across the world. My desk is a mess of shipping documents and coffee mugs. We handle various goods, whatever is in demand, I guess. It’s mostly about connecting people and making sure the paperwork doesn’t get stuck at the port. The courier guy knows us well because he’s here every day. It’s not a big team, just a few of us trying to keep track of everything. Rohini is a quiet enough area, but the traffic to get here can be a pain. We don’t have a big sign outside or anything. If you didn’t know the address, you’d probably just walk right past us. We just focus on getting the shipments moving. It’s a lot of logistics and hoping the weather doesn’t mess up the ships. It’s not glamorous work, but it keeps us busy and the bills get paid eventually. We just take it day by day and try to keep the customers from getting too grumpy.
