Kapoor Confectioners

Kapoor Confectioners is located at 10128 Library Road in Azad Market. This whole area is quite old and the streets are narrow, so getting deliveries in and out can be a real headache sometimes. Our shop is packed with all sorts of jars and packets of snacks and biscuits. We don't have much room for people to lounge around; it’s more of a place where you come to get what you need and then head back into the market rush. The shelves go all the way up to the ceiling, and we often have to use a small ladder to reach the things at the top. The lighting inside is just a few overhead bulbs that we’ve had for years. We’ve been on Library Road for a long time and have watched many other shops open and close around us. It gets very dusty in Azad Market, so we are always cleaning the glass jars. The floor is made of old stone that has smoothed out over time from all the walking. We don’t use any fancy language to describe ourselves. We are just a local confectionary shop trying to stay organized in a very busy part of the city. Every morning we check the stock and write down what we’re running low on. It’s a lot of manual work, but it keeps us going at 10128. Sometimes the stray dogs wait by the door for a scrap.
