Jug Lal Amir Chand

Down here in Gali Peepal Wali, things haven't changed much over the years. Our shop, Jug Lal Amir Chand, sits at number 1487 and it's been the center of our lives for as long as I can remember. Nai Sarak is a busy place, full of people looking for books or clothes, but our little corner feels like home. We aren't trying to be some huge corporation with fancy slogans. We just open the shutters every morning and wait for the regulars to stop by. Sometimes they come for business, and sometimes they just come to sit and talk for a bit. The walls are a bit faded and the shelves are heavy with stock, but that’s how a real shop should look. We don’t have a big marketing team. It’s just a few of us making sure everything is where it should be. Working in these narrow lanes teaches you how to get along with your neighbors. If a delivery is late, we just deal with it. If the rain comes down hard, we move the stock back from the door. It’s practical work. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just sell what we have and try to be fair about it. 1487 Gali Peepal Wali is where you’ll find us, right in the middle of the chaos of the city market.
