Competent Appliances (P) Ltd. is based at A-81 in the Group Indl. Area of Wazirpur. This is a real industrial zone, so it’s always loud and there’s always something being loaded onto a truck. We’re right in the thick of it. The building is a standard industrial block. Inside, we have our assembly area and some storage for all the appliance parts. It’s a busy environment. We don’t have air conditioning in the main work area, so it gets pretty warm during the summer months. We just use big fans and keep going. Our team is mostly local folks who have been with us for years. We don’t have a fancy philosophy or a mission statement on the wall. We just show up at A-81 and get to work on the appliances. Wazirpur is a tough area but it’s good for business. Everything we need is nearby. Sometimes the roads are blocked with delivery vans, which can be a pain. But we manage to get our stuff out on time. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the other shop owners on the block. It’s a community of makers and fixers. We don't try to look like a big corporation. We’re just a practical company making sure things work the way they should. It gets messy and loud, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. That’s just the daily life at Wazirpur for us.
