Delhi Towels & Gen. Stores has its home at 5769 Gandhi Market, right in the middle of Sadar Bazar. If you’ve ever been to Sadar Bazar, you know it’s probably one of the most crowded places in Delhi. There are people everywhere, all the time, and the energy of Sadar Bazar is something else. Our store is just one of many, but we’ve been at this spot for quite a while. We sell towels and all sorts of general items that people need for their homes. The shop is usually packed with bundles of cloth and boxes. We don't have much room to move around, but we manage. Every morning we open up and start dealing with the shoppers and the people looking for wholesale deals. It’s loud, it’s sweaty, and it’s very busy, but that’s just the life of a trader in Gandhi Market. We don't try to make the shop look like a mall. It’s a traditional store where things are stacked high. We know our regulars and we know which days are going to be the most chaotic. We don't have a big marketing plan or anything like that. We just rely on being in a good location in Sadar Bazar and having the stuff people want. It’s a simple way of doing things, even if the environment around us is anything but simple. We just keep our heads down and work. The market can be exhausting, but we are just a part of it.
