If you know Sadar Bazar, you know how hectic it can get. Jain Trading Company is right in the heart of that chaos at 33 Deputy Gunj. The streets are incredibly narrow and there are always people moving big piles of goods on their heads or on rickshaws. Our shop is no different. It’s a small space, and we have stuff stacked all the way to the ceiling. We’ve been here for years, and the address hasn't changed. It’s a family-run kind of thing, and we don't have time for fancy office furniture or polished floors. Everything is about the trade. We spend our days talking to customers, bargaining, and making sure the stock is replenished. It’s loud, it’s crowded, and it can get very hot, but this is where the business happens. We don't have a big website or do any social media. Our reputation comes from being here every day and dealing fairly with people. We drink a lot of tea and talk to the other traders on the street. It’s a community of its own. By the end of the day, we are usually pretty tired, but there is a sense of satisfaction in getting the work done. We aren't trying to be anything other than what we are: a busy trading company in one of the biggest markets in the city. It’s a tough life but it’s ours.
