Indian Dairy Equipment Co. is based at 364 Azad Market, which is a place that never really stays quiet. If you have ever been to Azad Market, you know exactly what I mean about the noise and the narrow streets. We have all kinds of dairy parts and equipment packed into our space. It is the kind of shop where you have to move three things just to get to the one thing you actually need. We spend a lot of our time talking to farmers or people running small milk plants who come in looking for specific valves or tanks. The market has changed a lot over the years, but our spot stays pretty much the same. We have old wooden shelves that have been there since the beginning. It is often a bit dark inside because the buildings are so close together, but we know where everything is by heart. Lunch usually comes from one of the vendors on the corner, and we eat it quickly before the next customer walks in. Dealing with dairy equipment means everything has to be stainless steel and clean, even if the street outside is a bit of a mess. We don't do much advertising because people in the trade just know where to find us. It is a lot of heavy lifting and counting small parts, but it is a living.
