Down at 31, Community Centre in Ashok Vihar, you’ll find the office of Fujian Food & Dehydrates. It’s a busy little area with a lot of different things going on at once. We’re tucked away in a spot that doesn't look like much, but we’ve made it our own over the years. The Community Centre is always full of people, which keeps things interesting for us. Our space is mostly taken up by boxes and paperwork. We don't have a grand entrance or a waiting room with magazines. Usually, if you come in, you’re walking right into the middle of whatever we’re sorting out. We spend a lot of our time dealing with suppliers and making sure our shipments are ready. Ashok Vihar is a good place to be, even if parking can be a bit of a nightmare sometimes. We’ve gotten to know the people in the neighboring units quite well. It feels like a small village inside the city. We don't use big words or try to sound like a giant corporation. We’re just a local business trying to do things the right way. Our furniture is a bit mismatched and the floor is a little worn, but it works for us. We don't see the need for anything fancier. We just come in, do our jobs, and go home to our families. It’s a decent way to earn a living in a place we know well, without all the extra polish.
