Foto Laminate

Foto Laminate is right in the middle of the chaos at Shop No 3, Suman Market. We are on the first floor, which is nice because it gets us a little bit away from the heavy foot traffic on Esplanade Road. If you have ever been to Chandni Chowk, you know how crowded it gets with people and rickshaws everywhere. Our shop is small but it is packed with all the machines we use for laminating. There is always that specific smell of plastic and heat in the air when the machines are running. We spend most of the day standing at the counters, working on whatever comes in. The light inside Suman Market isn't always the best, so we have some extra tubes fitted to see what we are doing clearly. It gets very busy during the festival seasons, and sometimes the stairs leading up to the first floor get blocked with boxes from the other shops. We have worked in Chandni Chowk for a long time, so we know most of the other shopkeepers around here. It is a loud, messy, and energetic place to be. We don't have a lot of space for sitting around, as every corner is used for storing film or finished work. It is a very hands-on job and we are usually covered in scraps of plastic by the time we close up the shop and head home through the narrow lanes.
