Duli Chand Ram Chand

Down here at 4907, Chowk Hauz Qazi, things are always moving fast. Duli Chand Ram Chand is the name on the board, and we’ve been operating out of this same spot for years. If you’ve ever walked through Hauz Qazi, you know how crowded it gets with all the carts and people. Our shop isn't very large, but we make use of every inch of space we have. We spend most of our time dealing with orders and talking to the people who come in looking for specific parts. There is a lot of paperwork that piles up on the old wooden desks, but we get through it. Sometimes it feels like there isn't enough time in the day to handle everything, especially when the phones are ringing and customers are standing right in front of you. We don't use any fancy systems, just our ledgers and some common sense. The building itself is old, like most things in this part of town, but it serves us well enough. We know the other shopkeepers around here, and we all kind of look out for each other. It’s a tight-knit community in a way. Dealing with logistics in these narrow lanes is a headache, but we’ve learned the tricks over the years. We just show up every morning and do the work that needs doing. It’s a simple life, mostly filled with the sounds of the market.
