If you’re looking for Daren Food, you have to head down Street No. 2 on Nawab Road. We are right in the middle of Sadar Bazar, which as anyone knows, is a total maze. Our spot is at T-224 on the first floor. It’s a tight squeeze in this part of town, especially when the morning deliveries start coming in. We spend most of our day surrounded by the smells of whatever we’re prepping or packing. It’s loud outside with all the rickshaws and people shouting, but inside we just focus on getting the food orders right. The stairs are narrow and sometimes it’s a struggle moving boxes up and down, but that’s just how these old buildings are. We don't have any big signs or flashy lights. Usually, the door is just open so we can get some air in while we work. People stop by all the time asking for directions because the street numbering here is a bit of a mess. We don’t mind helping out. Most of us have been working here for years, so we’ve seen how the market changes from season to season. It’s a lot of long hours and manual work, making sure things are clean and ready. There’s always someone drinking tea or checking a list. We aren't doing anything complicated, just running a food business in a very crowded part of the city. It's life in the bazaar. We stay busy from morning till night, just like everyone else on this street.
