Bunti Supari Corner

Bunti Supari Corner is a small spot at house number 6035 in Gali Arya, over in the Naya Bans area. If you’ve never been to Naya Bans, it’s one of those classic old Delhi spots with very tight lanes where you can barely walk two people abreast. We sell supari and other small items, and the shop is really just a small counter filled with jars and packets. The air around here always smells like spices and betel nut. It’s a very old-fashioned way of doing business; we talk to every person who walks by, and we’ve known most of our customers for decades. There’s no space for a computer or anything like that, so we do everything by hand. The lane is always crowded with carts and people carrying heavy sacks on their heads. It gets very busy in the evenings when everyone is out shopping. We don't have a website or do any kind of marketing; our sign is just a simple board above the door. It’s a humble place, but it stays busy from morning until late at night. Sometimes the weather makes it tough, but we just sit on our stools and keep the shop open. It’s a family thing, and we just like being part of the daily life in this old part of the city. We’ve seen kids grow up and start coming here as adults, which is quite nice.
