Bhawani Udyog

We have been running Bhawani Udyog from this spot in Amba House for quite a while now. If you know Hauz Qazi, you know how it gets here every single morning. It is crowded and noisy but it is where everything happens. We spend most of our day just dealing with the stuff that comes in and goes out. Sometimes the phone doesn't stop ringing and other times we are just checking over the inventory to make sure everything is where it should be. It’s not a fancy office or anything like that. Just a practical workspace where we get things done. We usually start early because the traffic around here is a nightmare if you leave it too late. Most of the people who drop by are regulars who have been coming to this part of Delhi for years. They know exactly where 3359 is. We don't really do much talking about ourselves, we just focus on the work at hand. Sometimes the paperwork gets a bit messy on the desk but we know where everything is. It’s just how we operate. We have seen the market change a lot over the seasons, new shops opening and old ones closing down, but we are still here at the same address. It is a lot of hard work but it keeps us busy and that is the main thing really. We just try to keep things simple and move the stock as it comes. It feels like a real community here.
