Our place is located on the first floor at 588, right in Ganda Nala Bazar on Hamilton Road. If you know Kashmere Gate, you know it can get pretty crowded around here. Auto Engineering Co. is what's on the door. We spend most of our time dealing with parts and machinery. The stairs up to the first floor are a bit narrow, so you have to watch your step when you're carrying stuff. It’s a noisy area with all the traffic and the market sounds coming through the windows, but we’re used to it. We've been in this spot for a long time. It’s not a shiny showroom or anything like that. It’s a workshop where there’s usually grease on someone’s hands and tools scattered on the benches. We just focus on the engineering work that needs doing. Sometimes the delivery trucks block the road, which makes things a bit slow, but that’s just life in Kashmere Gate. We handle various auto components and fix what needs fixing. It’s a small team here. We don't have a big HR department or fancy meetings. We just talk over tea and get back to the machines.
