Annapurna Overseas

Annapurna Overseas is located on the first floor at 25/1 in Gandhi Gali. Being in Fatehpuri means we are right in the heart of everything. The streets downstairs are always packed with people and rickshaws, so it's a bit of a relief to come up to our office. It’s an old building with narrow stairs that creak when you walk up. We don't have a lot of room, just a couple of desks and a lot of samples scattered around. We deal with trade, but it doesn't feel very global when you are sitting in a small room in Old Delhi. We spend a lot of time on the phone, trying to coordinate things with people far away. The power goes out sometimes, and we just sit and wait for it to come back, talking about whatever comes to mind. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of employees. It's just a few of us here doing the best we can every day. Gandhi Gali is a famous place, and we are proud to be part of its history. We don't put on any acts or try to look more successful than we are. We just work hard, drink a lot of tea, and make sure the paperwork is in order. It’s a busy life, and the days go by fast when there’s so much happening in the market outside our windows. We just keep going, one day at a time.
