Our office is situated on the third floor of a building in Sreepally, Palta. It’s Flat Number 2, and it’s where we handle all the import and export details. Being in the 24 Parganas North district, we are in a spot that’s a bit away from the main city rush, which we actually prefer. The office is pretty simple—just some desks, chairs, and a lot of filing cabinets filled with trade records. From the window, you can see the local life of Sreepally moving along. We spend the bulk of our time tracking shipments and talking to customs agents on the phone. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we know how to do. We’ve been here for a while and have gotten into a steady rhythm. The stairs up to the third floor keep us active, that’s for sure. We don’t have a marketing team or a sales department; we just handle the logistics and the trade requirements for the products we manage. Sometimes the internet is slow or a shipment gets held up, and we just have to deal with it as it comes. It’s a small, focused operation. We focus on the details of the cargo and the dates on the calendar. It’s just a regular office where we get the work done. The paperwork piles up occasionally, but we keep pushing through it until the day is over.
