You can find us over at CG 227 on the ground floor in Sector 2 of Salt Lake. Being on the ground floor means we see people walking by all day, which makes the office feel connected to the neighborhood. Pricewaterhousecoopers has been at this Kolkata location for a bit, and it’s a very down-to-earth place to work. There are no marble floors or flashy signs here. We just have our desks, some old filing cabinets, and a lot of coffee mugs scattered around. The Salt Lake area is generally more organized than other parts of the city, but it still has its quirks. Sometimes the power goes out for a minute and we all just wait for the generator to kick in. It’s just how it is. We spend our days going through spreadsheets and answering the phone. It isn't anything glamorous, but it is important work and we take it seriously in our own quiet way. We know the local shops nearby where we get our stationery and snacks. Most of the people working here live nearby, so we talk about the local news and the weather while we work. It’s a comfortable, normal office where we just do what needs to be done. We don't put on any acts. We are just a group of people working together in Sector 2, keeping the business moving forward every day.
