National Dairy Development Board

Our spot is over in Salt Lake City, specifically in Sector II within the NDDB Campus. It’s a nice area of Kolkata, a bit more organized than the crowded city center. We occupy a few blocks, from Dl 115 to 120, and it’s where all the dairy development work for this region happens. You’ll see plenty of people moving around the campus, mostly focusing on how to improve milk production and help out the local farmers. It’s a very practical kind of place. We have offices and some technical areas where we look at dairy processes. It’s not just sitting at desks; there is a lot of coordination with different milk unions and rural cooperatives. The campus itself has a bit of greenery which is a nice change of pace. We've been based here for years, and the routine is pretty set. Morning meetings, checking reports from the field, and making sure the dairy supply chain is running like it should. We get a lot of visitors from the villages who are part of the dairy programs. It’s a busy atmosphere but it feels grounded because we are dealing with something as basic as milk. Everyone here knows their job, and we just get on with it day by day. It’s a good community of people who care about the dairy sector and its growth in West Bengal.
