Down in Subhasgar, near the Post Hazinagar in the 24 Parganas district of West Bengal, you’ll find our office. It’s a bit out of the way compared to the main city hubs. The building itself is quite simple and hasn't changed much over the years. We’ve been operating this Larsen & Toubro Limited branch from this spot for a good while. People around here know us well. The weather is one of our biggest challenges, especially during the monsoon. When the heavy rains come, the streets can get quite muddy and difficult to navigate. Despite that, we always make sure the office is open. Inside, things are very basic. We have our desks, some old wooden cabinets, and plenty of folders for all the paperwork. Most of our work involves logistics and keeping track of various project details for the region. It involves a lot of phone calls and manual entry. Since we are a small group, everyone helps out with whatever needs doing. We share tea in the afternoons and talk about what’s going on in the local area. There aren't many shops right next door, so we usually bring what we need for the day. It’s a quiet and practical way of working. We just keep our heads down and make sure all the records are in order before the day ends. It’s not fancy, but it gets the job done for us.
