Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (Ecc-D)

Larsen & Toubro Ltd. (Ecc-D) is based at the Das House in South Habra, North 24 Parganas. It’s actually the home of Nirapada Das, and we operate out of a portion of it. This is a very local setup in West Bengal, far away from the big glass towers you see in the city. The pin code here is 743263. Working out of a house makes for a much more relaxed atmosphere, though we still have plenty of work to keep us busy. We have a few rooms set up with computers and desks. Outside, there is a bit of a yard, and you can see the local life of Habra going on right past the gate. It’s easy to miss if you aren't looking for the name on the gate or asking the neighbors for directions. We do a lot of our coordination for the area's projects right from here. It’s a bit of a commute for some of us, but the quiet of the residential area is nice. We don't have any formal mission statements posted on the walls. We just have our project timelines and some old calendars. It feels more like a small family business because of where we are located. We often share snacks or tea while we go over the day’s tasks. It’s just a group of people working together in a house to get things done without any corporate polish.
