Our office is located at 53 Udaypur Road in the Belghoria area, near the Nimta post office in Kolkata. It’s a typical Kolkata neighborhood with narrow streets and lots of activity. The building we are in is quite old and has a lot of character, though it could probably use a fresh coat of paint. We work on the staffing side of things, helping local companies find workers and vice versa. It’s mostly just us sitting at our desks, talking to people on the phone or meeting them in person. The rooms are a bit small, and we have folders stacked up in most corners. During the monsoon, the street outside can get a bit flooded, so we sometimes have to wear boots to get inside. We have a small table where we keep the water cooler and some biscuits. It’s not a polished corporate environment at all. It feels more like a small family business because we’ve all been working together for a while. We know the local shopkeepers and the people who live nearby. If you are looking for us, just ask someone near the post office; they usually know where number 53 is. We just try to do our work honestly and keep things moving. It’s a busy, somewhat messy, but very real place to work. There's usually a stray cat hanging around the entrance, too.
