Janaksons International

We operate our business out of 41 E K N C Road in Barasat. It’s situated in the North 24 Paraganas area of West Bengal, not too far from the main city of Kolkata. Our office is on a road that usually gets quite a lot of truck traffic and noise. We do international trade work, so there is always a lot of talk about shipping containers, export rates, and customs forms. It probably sounds more glamorous than it actually is when you’re doing it every day. Most of our days are just us sitting in front of flickering computers or talking on the phone with people in completely different time zones. The building we are in is a bit old, and the paint is starting to peel in some spots, but it’s a good, solid place to work. We have a small, tight-knit team here. We don't usually wear suits unless there’s a very important meeting with a new client, which doesn't happen that often. Usually, it’s just casual shirts and trousers for us. We drink a lot of ginger tea throughout the day to keep going. The windows look out onto the busy street, so we get a front-row seat to all the rain during the monsoon season. We’ve been at this address for quite a while now and everyone in the area knows the Janaksons sign. We aren't a big corporation. We are just a local office doing business with the world.
