We operate out of Flat 1C in the Akashdeep Apartment over on Dakshindari Road. If you know Laha Bagan, we’re right in that area of Kolkata. It’s a residential building, so it feels more like a home than a sterile office block. We like it that way because it’s quieter and we can actually focus on the consulting work we do. There’s always the sound of the city coming through the windows, but inside it’s mostly just us and our laptops. We spend a lot of time on the phone or looking at documents. It’s not the kind of place with a big sign out front or a lobby. You just come up to the first floor and knock. We’ve been in this flat for a bit, and the walls are filled with folders and papers from various projects we’ve taken on over the years. Getting around Kolkata 700048 can be a bit of a crawl during rush hour, so we’re usually here early to beat the traffic. We don't have a lot of staff, just a few of us who know how to handle the specific problems our clients bring in. It’s practical work. We don't use much jargon; we just try to explain things in a way that makes sense. Sometimes we grab lunch from the local shops downstairs and eat at our desks. It's a very standard, everyday kind of existence for a small team like ours, just trying to get things sorted.
