Baguiati is a very crowded part of the city, especially with all the traffic heading towards the airport. Being in an apartment building like Mohini Apartment means our office feels a bit like a home. It’s not a corporate office building with elevators and security guards. We have a small sign on the door so people know they’ve found the right flat. Inside, it’s mostly just desks and a lot of wiring. The humidity in Kolkata can get pretty bad, so we have a few old air conditioners that make a lot of noise. We usually order food from the local places around Narayantala. The street outside is always full of people and rickshaws. It’s a very lively place to be. We don't have any fancy brochures or a glossy front desk. It’s a very no-nonsense environment. Most of the staff has been together for a long time, so we just get on with it. Sometimes the rain floods the streets nearby, and we have to leave early to make it home. It’s just the reality of working in this part of Kolkata. Informatics India Ltd is just a group of people working hard in a small apartment. It’s nothing special, but it’s our base and we are used to the rhythm of the building and the sounds of Narayantala West.
