We are based out in the village of Tarunpally, specifically at house number 5 in the Poharipur area of North 24 Parganas. It’s a bit far out from the main city buzz, which is quite nice most of the time. The pin code is 743223 if you are looking it up. Life here is much slower than in Kolkata. We don't have big malls or tall buildings around us. It's mostly just trees, small houses, and a few local shops. Our workplace is a simple building that fits right into the neighborhood. Sometimes the power goes out when there is a big storm, and we just have to wait it out or use the old backup battery. It’s not a high-tech environment by any means. We drink a lot of tea and talk to the neighbors over the fence. The air is a bit cleaner here though, which is a plus. Getting supplies can take a day or two because we are tucked away in the district. Most of the people working here live nearby, so we don't have to deal with the long commutes that people in the city complain about. It’s a quiet life, focusing on the tasks we have in front of us without too much fuss. We aren't trying to be anything big or fancy. We just have our small spot here in Tarunpally where we keep things running as best as we can.
