We’re located over in New Town at the Utsa Condoville. Specifically, we’re in Lx41104, which is one of those luxury units that has been converted for IBM India Pvt Ltd use. New Town feels very different from the rest of Kolkata. It’s more open, but Rajarhat can still get quite congested with all the new construction. Being in a condo means there’s a bit more of a professional feel than a street-side shop, but inside it’s still just us working. We have a nice view from the windows, which helps when the work gets a bit boring. The 700156 area is still growing, so there are always new buildings going up around us. We use the kitchen area for our coffee breaks and usually chat about the traffic on the way in. It’s a bit of a trek for some of the staff who live in the older parts of the city. We don't have a big corporate lobby or anything like that. You just come up to the unit. The security at the gate is a bit strict, so they always ask where we’re going. It’s a safe place to work, though sometimes the elevators take forever during lunch hours. We try to keep things tidy, but with all the files and equipment, it’s a bit of a struggle. It’s a decent place to spend the day doing our jobs and getting through the week. It feels solid and reliable for what we do.
