Hsbc

We are located on the 2nd floor of Atulayan Apartment, right on Ram Shankar Bagui Lane in Baguiati. Kolkata is a city that never really stays quiet, and this part of town is no different. Our office at Hsbc is just a regular place where we spend our eight hours every day. We’ve got the typical setup with computers, some filing cabinets that probably need cleaning out, and a small area for people to wait. It’s a bit of a walk up to the second floor, but we don’t mind the exercise. Most of us live nearby, so we know the local shops and where to get the best snacks during lunch. We handle a lot of different banking tasks, mostly just the routine stuff that keeps things moving for people. There’s no fancy talk here. We just explain things as they are. If a process takes three days, we tell you it takes three days. We don't like making things more complicated than they need to be. The team gets along well, and we usually have some music or the news playing quietly in the background. It feels more like a small community than a big institution because we see the same people all the time. We just do our jobs, try to be decent to everyone, and keep the office running as best as we can. It is a honest way to earn a living in a city we love.
