Our office is located over in Agarpara on the second floor of Anjali Apartment. It’s a bit of a climb up the stairs if you aren’t used to it, but the view of the street from the balcony isn't too bad. We’ve been at this Kolkata location for some time now and it has its own rhythm. The neighborhood is usually quite lively, especially in the mornings when everyone is heading out to work. Inside the office, it’s mostly just desks, files, and the sound of people talking on phones or typing away. We deal with a lot of paperwork and technical details every day. It’s the kind of place where things can get pretty busy without much warning. Sometimes the humidity in West Bengal makes the office feel a bit heavy, but the fans keep the air moving well enough. We have tea together in the afternoons when there is a break in the schedule. It isn’t a massive corporate building with glass walls, just a regular floor in a residential-style apartment block that we’ve made into our workspace. Most of us have been working here for a while and we know exactly where everything is kept, even if the filing system looks a bit messy to an outsider. We focus on the tasks at hand and try to stay on top of the requests that come through the door or over the lines.
